Dobbies; shedding-levers.-Relates to joints for connecting the various parts of a dobby of the kind in which the bell-cranks are connected to the shedding levers by links. The inner and outer members of each joint are formed with latitudinally off-set half-width pairs of overlapping or interleaving parts, while neither member has a cored recess to receive a snug in the other member. The ends of the balk lever b are formed with solid full-width parts b<1> opposite the usual arcuate recess and with laterally-displaced halfwidth parts b<z>, b<3>, while the hook a has displaced half-width parts a<2>, a<3>, Fig. 3, connected to the solid cylindrical part a<1>. Similar joints are formed between the balk lever and bell-crank lever c and between the latter and the upper shedding-lever link d. In the case of the joints between the lower shedding-lever link e and the lever c and lower shedding-lever f, the link is formed with half-width parts e<1> - - e<4> overlapping with half-width parts c<6>, c<7> of the bell-crank lever, and with half-width parts f<1>, f<2> of the lever f, further half-width parts e<5>, e<6> overlapping with half-width parts c<8>, f<3>, if desired.
