Abstract

300,307. Callender's Cable & Construction Co., Ltd., and Hunter, P. V. Aug. 12, 1927. Conduits for heavy electric power cables have saddles or raised portions to support the cable clear of the floor of the conduit in normal conditions and to allow it to rest on the floor when expanded under continuous maximum load. The saddles may be formed integral with the conduit at the socket or spigot ends of the separate lengths as shown in Figs. 1 and 3 respectively ; or they may be separate pieces fitting into recesses as shown in Figs. 5 and 7, or engaging with serrations as shown in Fig. 9.
