299,188. Morse, E., and Taylor, H. E., (trading as Taylor & Co.. H. E.). Oct. 24. 1927. Hoods.-Fastening means are provided where by sliding hoods may be secured in any desired position. As shown applied to a hood in which the hoop-sticks are arranged to run on cant rails, a fitting a having a socket c for the hoop stick and anti-friction rollers f whereby it slides on the cant rail g is provided with a roller h carried eccentrically in bearings in the flanges e of the fitting so that when desired the cant rail g may be gripped between the roller h and the curved guide n on the fitting. The fastening means may also be applied to rigid sliding roofs for omnibuses &c.
