Abstract

299,135. Craven, E. G., and Craven, P. A. Aug. 22, 1927. Loud-speakers.-In a loud-speaker comprising a natural or artificially moulded shell 1 having a hollow convolution 2, the smaller end 3 of which is connected by a sleeve 5 to a sound reproducer, the shell is of that conical formation which has the smaller end of its convolution in the base of the cone. The shell may be of the Couch type shown in Fig. 1, or a Murex shell with a double or two-start convolution may be employed. A number of shells may be connected to a common sound reproducing unit 6 as shown in Fig. 2, hit-and-miss regulators 11 being provided. Specification 246,332, [Class 13, Bells &c.], is referred to.
