Abstract
298,615. K÷hler, W. Oct. 12, 1927, [Convention date]. Optical - projection apparatus.-In the projection of assemblages of image to form a single picture on one screen, the images are projected with vignetted edges which overlap. As shown, the picture on the screen comprises three images 9 projected by projectors 10 along axes oblique to the screen. The images on the diapositives have overlapping fields and masks 11 may be so placed as to produce vignetted projected images, and secure uniform lighting of the picture. Alternatively, the diapositive images, may be vignetted. In projecting stage scenery, two pictures may be projected on to two screens spaced apart to provide a passage for actors, and the projection beams may be diverted by mirrors so that. the actors do not pass through them. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the diapositives may be normal to the projection axis, and may be produced by means of a camera placed in a position relative to the original picture corresponding to that to be occupied by the projector relative to the screen. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
