Abstract
409,663. Stereoscopic photography and kinematography. JELLINEK, G., 12, Via Moscova, Milan, Italy. Oct. 31, 1932, No. 30538. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 8, 1933.] [Classes 97 (i), 98 (i), and 98 (ii).] In a method of producing three-dimensional images in space, a number of separate and complete images of the object are taken through a honeycomb structure of lenses and are projected into space through the same or a similar lens system. In place of an original object a number of photographic copies of the object may be taken through the honeycomb of lenses. The projected image is made visible by projecting it onto a set of superposed semi-transparent screens backed by an opaque screen or onto a rotating screen consisting of a number of coaxial sectors in different planes and relatively staggered. To avoid inversion of the relief, the original set of images may be projected in the above manner and the projection photographed by the honeycomb of lenses. Fig. 5 shows a taking or projecting apparatus comprising a kinematograph camera B, a honeycomb of contiguous lenses L and a ground-glass screen V. Opaque septa are provided between the lenses of the honeycomb. Fig. 6 shows an optical arrangement for inverting the relief consisting of two honeycombs of lenses T, T1 and ground glass screens V, V<1>.
