Abstract

298,542. Waygood-Otis, Ltd., (Assignees of Hymans, F., and Westlin, C. T.). April 22, 1927, [Convention date]. Divided on 289,035. Cage lifts. - Lift cars of the kind having a floor vertically movable with respect to the car frame have the floor provided with a threshold plate arranged so that vertical movement of the floor occurs when a person steps on the threshold plate. The threshold plate 63 is secured by screws 64 to an angle-bar 61 forming part of the movable frame on which the floor 62 is mounted, the threshold plate extending over the car frame 9 and having a slot 65 for guiding the car gate and a depending toe guard 67. The movable floor and associated parts are constructed and operated as described in Specification 289,035.
