Abstract

298,438. Hulme, J. Feb. 25, 1928. Roofs, slating. - Slate fasteners of the kind consisting of a. securing wire 1 and a plate or strap 4 to be slipped under and between the slates of a lower course, are formed with the lower end of the wire either straight, Fig. 1, or looped, Fig. 2, so that it may be bent over the new slate when the latter is in position. The upper end of the wire may have an eye 2 for a nail or be twisted around a nail, and the plate 4 may be adjustable on the wire.
