Abstract

298,425. McCaskell, M. Jan. 30, 1928. Specially-shaped and lined cases; fittings, internal.-A midwifery case a is made entirely of aluminium with a removable drawer b also of aluminium and both case and drawer are provided with detachable fabric linings; the corners of the case and drawer are rounded off so that they are easily sterilized. The front a<1> of the case is provided with a hinged plate c having curved flanges c<1> which embrace the sides of the case in the closed condition and the flap is held closed by hooks engaging bars on the flange d<1> of the hinged lid d which is provided with a carrying handle. The drawer is supported on flanged bars secured to the sides of the case are turned up at the ends to prevent the drawer contacting with the back of the case. The linings k, l are detachably secured by button-holes and fasteners k<1>, l<1> and are provided with loops and pockets for holding surgical and medical requisites.
