Athletic boots; construction; with attachments for special purposes.-A boot 10 is provided with buttons, hooks, or the like, 17 to which the lower end of a leg-covering can be secured, and with a collar 11 which is sewn to the boot upper at 12 and is notched at the seam line so that it can be turned up to cover the end of the leg-covering. The collar may be integral with the part 14 of the boot and is provided with a tongue and with fastening eyes or hooks 13, or a strap and buckle. Openings may be provided in the seam 12 for draining off water.
