Mattresses.-In a mattress embodying vertical upholstery springs 11 the upper coils of which are interconnected by flexible cords 12, 14, the latter are secured to the mattress frame by hooks 18 having sleeves or brushes 19 of non-metallic sound-deadening material such as rubber or fibre. In the case of a metal framed mattress washers 22 of sound-deadening material are provided on the connecting bolt 21 of the hook. Specification 13884/94 is referred to.
