Abstract
297,791. Akt.-Ges. Kummler & Matter. Sept. 28, 1927, [Convention date]. Electric hot-plates.-A hot-plate comprises a metal stand b having relatively high feet c, a cooking plate a lying on contact points d around the perimeter of the stand and fastened thereto by a central screw f which may serve as an earth connection, a socket e on the stand for receiving a plug connection, and a local housing b<1> formed on the stand for the connections e<1> between the socket and the plate. The stand may be of cast or pressed metal and may be coated with graphite, nickel, or enamel. A separate switch or one combined with the socket is provided. A fixed earth connection may be made to the stand. An insulating layer may be arranged under the plate.
