Milling-cutters.-A cutter comprises two complementary symmetrical segmental elements 1, 2 which are axially adjustable so as to occupy either the same plane or two parallel planes so that grooves of different widths may be machined. In one construction, the elements are formed with hubs, screw-threaded to engage right and left-hand threads 14, 15, Fig. 8, on a sleeve 13. The cutting elements are formed with roughing out teeth 16, 17. The cutters are provided with rearwardly directed chip-clearing grooves near their peripheries.
