Bricks for furnace arches.-The bricks 33, 36, 37, 38 are formed with undercut grooves 35 to engage the hangers 34 in a plane of movement at right angles to the paper, the hangers being supported with freedom of arcuate movement on quadrant-shaped supports 24. The ignition arch 41 comprises wedge-shape bricks. The bricks 22 are supported on shoes 19 carried by hooked hangers 18.
