Upholstery stuffing-materials.-A material for stuffing pillows, cushions, feather beds, quilts, &c., comprises vegetable down such as kapok, cotton waste, &c., opened up and teased out and then mixed thoroughly with feather barbs. The barbs of the feathers are stated to hook on to the vegetable fibres and keep them separate, whereby air spaces are formed in the material and the production of lumps is prevented.
