295,862. Butterfield, Ltd., W. P., and Wood, F. Oct. 20, 1927. Corrugating. - A metal cylinder for forming tubs &c. is corrugated between a pair of rolls having central longitudinal corrugations R and peripheral end corrugations R<1> the top roll being pivoted at one end at B<1> so that it can be swung out of position for insertion of the cylinder. The rolls may also have flanges R<2> distanced from the central part by washers. The roll may be built up from various corrugated sleeves mounted on a central shaft. The upper roll is adjustably mounted on a bracket by a cross bar C carrying cylinder guiding pulleys G, G<1>, G<2>, the latter receiving a flange, if any, on the cylinder. The other end bearing can be swung with the roller out of its housing B<2>. The rolls are intergeared.
