A device for suspending miners' lamps or other articles to carry them from the person comprises a strap c for passing round the neck and a plate provided with a loop d or the like for attachment to the article. The strap c at one end mav be fixed to the plate, as by rivets b, and at the other may pass through slot a<1> and be adjustably fixed, as by buttons a<2> engaging one or other of button holes c<1>.
