294,804. Johnson, J. Y., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). Oct. 10, 1927. Latex, treating.-A viscous paste which can be readily re-dispersed by means of aqueous ammonia &c. is formed by quickly mixing with latex an amount of acid sufficient to produce a pH figure less than 2 and, after (say) 24 hours, filtering off the serum. Fillers, protective colloids, sulphur &c. may be added before or after the acid.
