Abstract

Tiling; kerbs. - Square-edged tiles are used in place of roundedged tiles at the corners and edges of tiled fireplace surrounds, kerbs, walls, and the like, the gaps being filled by wood or metal strips. Fig. 2 shows a wood strip held by nails or screws penetrating into the cement, and Fig. 1 a strip of rolled sheet-metal formed with a gap to allow the cement to enter it and key it in position.
