Incrustation, preventing. - The process described in the parent Specification for preventing incrustation in boilers is modified by the use of alkaline earths, such as barium carbonate or hydroxide, in place of alkali or alkali carbonate, for treating the hardness remaining after boiling. The barium compounds may be added in one amount instead of periodically.
