Cleansing-compositions. - Solid or semi-solid soaps, suitable for disinfecting are obtained by treating solutions of alkali metal hypochlorites with alkali metal salts of saturated fatty acids, preferably of low molecular weight, such as sodium laurate and sodium caprylate. Alkali metal salts such as sodium carbonate or sodium silicate, may be added.
