Metal powder is made by working small laminar granules, Fig. 1, into hollow spherical form, Fig. 3, as by rotary beaters 6, Fig. 4, in a container 2. The powder is of 0.5 mm. diameter, or less, and is stated to be particularly applicable in conjunction with graphite, or an insulating material, to the manufacture of dynamo brushes, current collectors, magnet cores for induction coils &c.
