Abstract

293,374. Glover, B. M. April 5, 1927. Fabrics formed by stitching together fibrous materials.-A sliver or fleece of fibres is passed through a multiple-needle sewing machine adapted to sew it lengthwise with a series of longitudinal rows of stitches, in transverse stitching or locking threads being incorporated. The cloth so produced may be subjected to a milling operation whereby the fibres are " burst " and cover the stitching. The sliver may be taken from a Blamire's or like feed attached to a scribbler.
