Abstract

291,635. Bradford, D. S. July 21, 1927. Eyeglasses.-In the manufacture of frames for pince-nez of tortoise-shell or like material, the frames are cut out of a single flat sheet of material with the bridge-member c bent or deformed so as to give a closed up shape as in Fig. 1. The bridge-member of the blank is then sprung open to ensure the requisite degree of pressure when in use. Any subsequent deformation will then result in an alteration of form tending to retain the frame in position on the nose. The placquets b may be provided with grooves to assist the grip.
