Golf-practising appliances; outdoor games; table games.-An appliance for use in practising putting or for a similar operation on a table or out of doors with a golf ball or other spherical object comprises two members or the equivalent collapsably or foldably and directly interconnected book-wise and adapted to be supported on a suitable surface in such manner that the members form upwardly-converging surfaces which are maintained in such upwardly converging position by the use of a hinge or hinges interconnecting the two members or by a tie member or tie members interiorly interconnecting and extending between the two members. As shown, the members 1, 2 are retained in the inclined position by cords 5 and each has one or more holes 8 into which the player endeavours to project the ball by means of a club or by hand. A flap 10 may be hinged to the members so as to be capable of resting on either incline and of covering one or other of the holes 8 therein. The flap may be arranged to occupy the position 12. In a modification, Fig. 3, the device comprises a single incline 14 supported by a collapsable strut 13, and a perforated cover piece 16 may be engaged with a slot 18 therein to cover some of the holes and reduce the size of the central hole. In a further modification, instead of employing cords 5, the inclines may be made by creasing a single piece of material and the hinge portion may be stiffened by springs.
