Abstract

289,742. Lees & Co., Ltd., A., and Clegg, J. W. Jan. 2, 1928. Rollers and roller heads. - In ring and flyer frames, mules, and like spinning-machines, the inner ends 12 of the spindles of divided rollers 11, which are used in place of the usual single top rollers as described in Specification 231,937, are housed in slots 13 in a projection 14 from a bar 15 which extends across the usual cap bar fingers, so that the rollers may be applied and removed as readily as the usual single or undivided rollers. The slots in the bar 15 may be open at their lower ends and closed by a plate 18 secured by a screw 19 after the spindles are inserted, and additional transverse slots 17 may be provided and the spindles provided with end discs 20 to prevent the rollers from dropping out. The bar 15 is provided with positioning projections 21 which engage the slots in the cap bar fingers.
