Tobacco.-In a device for drying cigars, cigarettes, or tobacco immediately before smoking, a cigar &c. is supported adjustably in relation to a heating flame or an electric incandescent heater. In one form, a spirit lamp is provided with a curved support on which a cigar can be placed, with its ignition end over the flame, and can be adjusted by hand. The lamp may be provided with a match-box holder. In a modification, Fig. 2, a hinged lid 8 for the pocket lamp is provided with supports 12 for the cigar a catch 10 serving also a support for the lid when open. The burner is tightly closed by a rubber cushion 8<a> when the lid is closed. In another form, the support for the cigar &c. is telescopic and is also provided with a screw device for adjusting the position of the cigar. In a further fnrm, the cigar &c. is suported by a member rotated and reciprocated by clockwork or an electric motor.
