289,235. Vickers, Ltd., Dawson, Sir A. T., and Buckham, Sir G. T. March 23, 1927. Endless-track vehicles. - In a motor vehicle of the kind having endless-tracks and road wheels for alternative use. the rear road wheels B<1> are arranged in pairs at each side of the vehicle and spaced sufficiently far apart to receive between them the rear parts of the endless tracks C and the track driving-wheels C<1>. The road wheels in each pair are connected together by a hub passing freely through the track driving-wheel. The road wheels and tracks are driven alternatively, as required, from a differential gear D<x>, differential shafts D<1> and clutches E by which either of two sprockets B', C' can be clutched to the differential shaft. The sprocket C' is geared by a chain to a sprocket wheel C<4> fixed to the track driving-wheel, and the sprocket B<3> drives a sprocket-wheel B<2> fixed to the inner side of one of the road wheels. Brake drums D<1x> are provided on the differential shafts. In the construction shown the track frames C<3> are raised and lowered by the means described in Specification 288,695, but the invention can be used in conjunction with any of the constructions shown in Specification 265,670, and may be applied to the " half-track " vehicle described in Specification 280,301,
