Pocket igniters, frictional. - The frictionwheel 24 is mounted on a spindle 22 above a toothed wheel 23 in mesh with an operating wheel 30 extending beyond the edges of the fuel container. A cover 34 for the wheel 24 and a wick-cap 35 are carried by an arm 33 pivoted to a support 40, the arm 33 being provided with a spring-pressed block 38 adapted to engage the inclined edge 39, or the top, of the support to hold the arm in the closed, or open, position respectively.
