Indicators, electric.-The depth of water in a. reservoir is indicated by means of a mercury switch comprising a tubular container for the mercury built up of insulating cylinders A1 with interposed pierced metal discs B. The tube E is connected to the reservoir by a U-tube, and the discs B are connected to tappings on a resistance D connected in one arm of a Wheatstone bridge arrangement, the galvanometer G of which then indicates the depths.
