286,812. Player, E., and Parc Engineering Co., Ltd. Dec. 23, 1926. Disinfecting air; vaporizing by air currents.- Apparatus for disinfecting air comprises a liquid container 4 arranged round a gap 12 in the air pipe and one or more freely rotatable collector discs 10 in planes radial to the pipe with their edges, which are preferably serrated, close to the gap. If three or four discs are employed one or more will always be in contact with liquid however the container is tilted and project a stream of atomized liquid into the air current which causes the discs to rotate at high speed. The discs may project through slots in the air pipe. In a modification a single disc is free to revolve around the axis of the air pipe each end of which carries on ball bearings part of a carrier upon which the disc is pivotally mounted.
