Associating-apparatus; cutting-apparatus. - Relates to mechanism for associating a highspeed web with a low-speed sheet, or for associating two high-speed webs. The printed lowspeed web L is fed from the printing-machine to co-operating cutting-cylinders 4, 5, the cylinder 4 being twice the diameter of the cylinder 5 and travelling at half-speed. A cutting-knife 9 on the cylinder 5 co-operates with two oppositelydisposed woods 7, 8 on the cylinder 4, which is also provided with sheet-taking devices 12, 13 in the form of pins. The pins 12, 13 feed the severed sheets L<1> to a roller 27 co-operating with the cylinder 4. The cylinder is formed with depressed surfaces 25, in advance of which are the feeding-segments 26 co-operating with the roller 27 to feed the sheets over ,a guides to a cylinder 17. The high-speed web H is fed to the cylinder 17, which travels at twice the speed of the cylinder 4. The low-speed sheet L coming from the cylinder 4 is adapted to be associated with two sheets cut from the high-speed web, and is seized by pins 23 on the cylinder 17 and brought up to the speed of the web H, and the sheet and web together are fed forward, the web being severed by cutting-devices 21, 22 on the cylinders 18. 17. The sheets are then fed by pins 24 on the cylinder 18 to tapes of a, former 32. Alternatively, two high-speed webs may be fed together directly to the cylinder 17, 18.
