Abstract
284,648. Soc. Anon. des Manufactures des Glaces et Produits Chimiques de St.-Gobain, Chauny, et Cirey. Feb. 2, 1927, [Convention date]. Production of metal.-A glass to be used for X-ray screens contains lead oxide and barium oxide. The proportions of the two oxides are determined by the formula B Î 1.005<(P+35‹)> = 110 in which B indicates the percentage of barium oxide and P is the percentage of lead oxide. A suitable glass contains 45 per cent of lead oxide and 17 per cent of baryta.
