Production of metal.-In a process for making magnesium borosilicate glass, the magnesium is calcining a mixture of boracic acid and magnesium borate, or magnesium pyroborates, obtained by calcining a mixture of boracic acid or magnesium oxide, or of substances which yield boron oxide and magnesium oxide when calcined.
