Abstract

284,520. Simplex Conduits, Ltd., and McLoughlin, H. F. Aug. 24, 1926. Switches, quickaction ; contacts. The movable contacts e, f of a snap-action switch are mounted on a member comprising a spindle b, which forms the axis about which the member pivots and which is arranged coaxially with the axis of the snap-action mechanism, and a spindle b<3> rigidly coupled to and arranged parallel with the spindle b and actuated by a member a of the snap-action mechanism. The snap-action mechanism is of the kind described in Specification 284,360, and the end of the spindle b<3> passes through a hole in the member a. The spindles b, b<3> are provided with insulating sleeves and are coupled together by two pairs of clamping pieces c, d which carry the contacts e, f, and which may be corrugated as shown in Fig. 5.
