Abstract

Clips, flexible jaw.-Relates to clamping-devices for paper files composing a rigid strip 1 formed with lateral lugs 3 at each end with which cooperate curved leaf-springs 6 secured to the free ends of a spring strip or strips 7 fixed to the centre of the strip 1 and operated by sliding members 9 so as to press the parts 3, 6 together. According to the invention, ridges 4 are provided on the legs 3 parallel to the sides thereof, and the ends of the lugs are bent up at 5 so that when the ends of the springs 6 are pressed into the space between the ridges 4 and the part 5 the papers are correspondingly bent and the clamping rendered more secure. Curved edges 2 on the stips 1 form guides for the members 9 which are roughened on their upper faces to facilitate their manipulation. The device is secured to the cover of the file by rivets through holes 11 in the strip 1.
