Current direction indicators. - A Pole-finder comprises a glass or other transparent tube a closed at the ends with rubber or other plugs b, b<1> through which project adjustable electrodes in the form of rods c. c<1>, which are provided with terminal screws d and blade terminals f, f<1> pivoted to tubular metal caps g, g<1>. The tube a is filled with a solution of sodium sulphate, phenolphthalein, and water, or other solution which changes colour at one electrode on the passage of a current.
