Abstract

283,296. Thornton, V. J. Oct. 14, 1926. Contents, delivering and facilitating access to. -A box or cabinet for gramophone records &c., contained in cases 1 pivotally mounted at their lower forward corners upon a rod 2, is formed with rigid erect side members 4 connected at the front and back by narrow base members 5 and with front and top members hinged for the whole or for a portion of their lengths to the box so that their ends remote from the hinges meet when in the closed condition. As shown' the front 7 is hinged to the front base member 5 and the top consists of a fixed portion 8 and a hinged portion 9 provided with a suitable fastening device 13. The sides 4 may be recessed at 16 to facilitate lifting, the edges of the record cases may be cut away at 15 to prevent them fouling the top portion 8 and an index tablet 14 may be fixed to the inner face of the hinged front 7.
