Abstract

283,180. Franck, R. Jan. 6, 1927, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Wire fabrics.-The junction of an endless wire cloth used in paper machines and the like is made by incorporating fusible weft wires in the woven body to form the seam and cutting the ends short near these special wires so as to form a real channel. The fusible wires may comprise a core of non-fusible metal coated with fusible metal or a combination of two wires, one of non- fusible metal and the other of fusible metal may be used, the joint being made by fusion.
