Abstract
282,542. Dine, J. H., and Billington, C. H. Nov. 15, 1926. Leaf filters.-In a filter of the type comprising bags e covering frames suspended from slotted tubes f one end of which is open and serves for the discharge of filtrate through the side of the container, into a delivery chamber p, the opposite sides of the elements are supported by the upper inclined surface m of an angle-iron bar j bolted to the container, so that the elements are forced by their weight to make joint with the apertures o at the discharge side. The elements are placed alternately in an upper and a lower horizontal row, those of the lower row resting directly on the surface m while those of the upper rest on blocks l fixed to the surface m. The ends of the elements are spaced by means of vertical fingers t secured to the bar j.
