280,704. Ellis, E. H., Ellis, D., and Ellis, F. Nov. 11, 1926. Cleaners.-A machine for extracting dust, burrs and other foreign substances from fibres, fur, &c. comprises a stationary cylinder 7, the lower half of which is perforated, and a rotating shaft 3 carrying longitudinally disposed bars or rods 6 which move round close to the lower half of the cylinder. The rods 6 mav be inclined to feed forward the material from the inlet 8 to the lower end of the cylinder, which may be inclined or of conical form. A wire or rope with suitable tensioning means may replace the rods 6. The machine may be used to mix fibres in which case only a portion of the lower half of the cylinder is perforated.
