Kinematograph apparatus.-In apparatus comprising a composite picture and a relatively movable line screen, the movable member is operated by a spring or electric motor through a cam directly engaging its edge or through a lever engaging teeth on a driven wheel; a number of composite pictures &c. may he simultaneously operated. As shown in Fig. 1, a spring drum g drives a toothed wheel e upon which rides one end of a lever d, contacting with the picture b or screen a, and moving it against the action of a spring. Various suitable forms of levers and cams are illustrated in the drawings. A number of pictures and screens a - - a<3>, Fig. 12, arranged in rows, may be operated by arms b, b<1> extending from rods g, g<1> reciprocated longitudinally by rods d, d<1> linking them to a rod p moved vertically by a motor driven cam j or eccentric. A lever may be arranged between the rod p and the cam j, or between the rod p and a toothed wheel replacing the cam.
