Line-screen devices. -In a line-screen display device the legend bearing plate 4 is fixed in an adjusted position in slides 5 in a casing 1 and the lined or slotted grid 2 is reciprocated by a motor 13 through a crank 11 and slotted link 10 in which lost motion is introduced to cause the grid 2 to remain stationary for a short period after each movement. The link 10 is adjustably pivoted to a rock-arm 8 connected by a link 7 to the plate at 6. Alternatively the grid 2 may be stationary and the plate 4 reciprocated.
