Projection printing-apparatus for repeating a unit design on a sensitized surface is provided with co-operating stops 17, 41 between a movable table 8 and its bed 3, one stop being attached to the movable part and the other adjustably attached to a bar 22 having spacing holes 23 secured to the bed 3. The stop 41 is connected to a block 34 by a micrometer 45, and by using this micrometer in conjunction with a pin 38 passing through the block into the holes 23, the stop 41 is located at a distance from a hole 28 in the bar 22 corresponding to the required spacing of the designs. A sleeve 13 attached to the table 8 slides along a rod 10, and the stop 17 can be secured to the sleeve by a clamp 18. After the first exposure, the stop 17, which has been held in registration with the hole 28 by a pin 19, is released and moved until it registers with a hole 44, when it is again clamped to the sleeve. The table 8 is then traversed until the pin 19 can enter the hole 28 for the second exposure to be made.. Spring fingers on the stop 17 enable the approach of the stop to registering position to be felt. A clamp 16 secures the sleeve 13 and the shaft 10 together during exposures. The stop 41 and its micrometer adjustment can be removed as a unit for setting, but minor adjustments for each exposure can be made without its removal. Clamping screws 31 secure the stop to the bar 22 to relieve it from strain. A similar setting means is provided for moving the projector to obtain parallel rows of designs on the table 8.
