Computing-apparatus. - The semi-automatic weighing-apparatus claimed in the parent Specification is modified by arranging the mechanism used for manipulating the capacity-increasing weights in such a manner as to vary simultaneously the position of an indicator device carrying a number of groups of cost indications corresponding to different prices per unit-weight so as to leave visible in each group only that indication corresponding to the weights used. In the form shown in Fig. 1, a stationary front plate bears fractional weight graduations 2 and is provided with apertures 3 for the display of the principal unit numerals carried upon drums 4 which are moved as described in the parent Specification by the hand-lever 6 used for changing the capacity weights. The front plate also bears a series of cost graduations 7 - - 7‹ and is pierced with openings 16 through which the cost numerals are displayed. These cost numerals are marked on a back plate 8 arranged to slide on guides 9 and connected to the operating handle 6 by a rod 10. Thus, when the handle 6 is manipulated to change the capacity weights the plate 8 is simultaneously adjusted to display the correct cost numerals through the openings 16 in the front plate. In a modification, Fig. 3, the cost numerals on the back plate are arranged in a circular manner and the back plate instead of sliding, receives a circular movement by means of eccentrics 11 and rack gearing 12 connected to the operating handle.
