277,584. Marks, E. C. R., (Whitney Metal Tool Co.). May 30, 1927. Cutting girders; shear-blades.-A machine for shearing angle iron has an apertured blade 10 secured to an apertured frame 5 and a coacting triangular blade 15 secured to an arm 17 pivoted on a pin 13. A hand lever 19 operates the lever 17 through eccentric gears 21, 22 which have tapered teeth for forcing, during cutting, the blade 15 against the fixed blade. The frame 5 is extended laterally to form a work support which carries an adjustable screw.
