Feeding webs.-In a rotary printing-machine for printing tickets on a paper strip c, the print. ing-cylinder d carries number-printing mechanism i, date-printing mechanism g, and fixed type h, and the impression roller p is carried by a bell-crank lever p<1> having a roller p<3> on its upper end engaged by cam surfaces q, q<1>, q<2> on the cylinder d so as to cause the impression roller p to bring the strip c .into contact with the successive printing-surfaces g, h, i and feed the strip. An unprinted margin is provided at both ends of the ticket by feeding the strip forward a certain distance after the completion of the printing of a ticket by means of a pawl r carried by an oscillating lever r<1> and engaging in perforations in the strip c, the perforations being spaced a distance equal to the length of a ticket. A stop r<2> on the gear o<1> operates the lever r<1> against the action of a spring r<3> and a detent z prevents the strip slipping backward as the pawl r moves backward.
