Abstract

276,932. Simon, H. F. May 21, 1927. Supporting.-An electric lamp stand for office use &c. e.g. for use with a typewriter, comprises an extensible base 9, 10 with stabilizing feet 13 more or less at right-angles to it and a member 3 carrying the lamp and secured to an upwardly extending member 1 connected to the base, preferably to a rearward extension thereof. Screws 7, 8, 12 secure the parts in adjusted position. Preferably the member 3 is flexible to any desired position and receives the current flex direct, so that when removed it, forms an independent hand lamp. The member 1 with member 3 may moreover be removed and carried in a table clamp or the like. The feet 13 are pivoted to the main base member so that they can fit closely round a typewriter &c. and also ford up.
