Abstract

276,446. Cutten, F. A., and Cutten, W. H. June 1, 1926. Fixed bucket conveyers and elevators ; carriers, attaching to chains.-The buckets or scoops of a dredging device are provided with pairs of lugs b on the lower surface and with a renewable tip c of hard metal such as manganese steel. The pairs of lugs are connected by links d secured by rivets e, e<1>, and, in the space formed between the links, are located driving- shoes g, which may be reversed or renewed when worn. The ends of the shoes co-operate with noses l, k on the lugs b which thus take some of the pressure of the driving-tumbler and end steel bushes withstand the wear of the pins on the links (not shown) of the endless chains which are connected to the bucket.
