Abstract

275,863. Marks, E. C. R., (Toledo Scale Co.). Jan. 24, 1927. Casings. - The base casing of a weighing scale is provided with a joint formed of members 11, 16 having overlapping portions which are secured together, and one of the members has a groove 19 and the other a turned edge lying within such groove but out of engagement therewith. A corner member 15 is secured by screws 17 to each of a pair of side plates 11, and to the overlapping member 16. The plates 11 are of channel shape and have stiffening depressions 12. A porcelain or lacquer coating 18 is applied to the panels except between the members 15, 16. The corner plates 16 may be metal-plated.
